ALAN MATTER

Horizon lines, humility and humanity

alan on boat humility

On the boat, remembering how to breathe and soak in a good view…my boyfriend and the sea…

We spent the day drinking beer and I, a bit of tequila. It’s a wonderful feeling to be free from unwanted company, the intrusion of the masses and I almost forgot how good it feels to not have the rest of our species to be around with all their things, and noise, demands, chaotic beings wandering mad all over the place and wherever they please.  No, boat days are the days that I remember how to breathe, remember the sound of the wind breaking across ocean to ears, remember space!  look out and inhale all the elements from which we came from  and will return to, mother sea.  There really is nothing like being naked, slightly drunk and open to the horizon line…
